DEGREE Al título universitario equivalente a la licenciatura se le conoce como Bachelor's degree, que se obtiene generalmente tras tres años de estudios. Las titulaciones más frecuentes son las de Letras: Bachelor of Arts o BA y Ciencias: Bachelor of Science o BSc en el Reino Unido, BS en Estados Unidos. En el Reino Unido, la mayoría de los estudiantes reciben un honours degree, cuyas calificaciones, en orden descendente son: first (1) la nota más alta, seguida de upper second (2-1), lower second (2-2) y third (3). En algunas ocasiones se puede obtener un ordinary degree, por ejemplo en el caso de que no se aprueben los exámenes para obtener el título pero los examinadores consideren que a lo largo de la carrera se han tenido unos resultados mínimos satisfactorios.
